Your orthodontist
Dr Cristina Ghiveciu
Specialist Orthodontist
A precise and personal approach based on comprehensive diagnosis, extensive continuing education and accessible explanations.
After completing her specialist training in orthodontics, Dr Cristina Ghiveciu continued her international postgraduate education in advanced orthodontics, occlusion, interdisciplinary care and orthodontic-surgical cases.
Her practice is strongly influenced by the FACE philosophy, which considers orthodontic diagnosis as a whole: facial aesthetics, functional occlusion, temporomandibular joint health and treatment stability.
Her further training includes skeletal anchorage, orthodontic expansion, 3D imaging, craniofacial and TMJ diagnosis, clear aligners, biomechanics and complex adult treatment.
Clinical philosophy
Understand before treating
A relevant treatment plan begins with a simple question: what genuinely needs to be improved for this patient? Dr Cristina considers the teeth, bite, facial balance, function and expectations before proposing a strategy. This approach allows treatment discussions to address not only dental alignment, but also overall balance and the stability being sought.
Explain so that decisions can be made together
Patients and parents should understand why an option is recommended. The diagnosis, alternatives, practical requirements, estimated duration and limitations are presented in accessible language.
Adapt, never standardise
Two patients with similar concerns may require different approaches. The choice of appliance comes after the diagnosis — not before it.

Diagnostic tools
Dr Cristina uses digital tools when they improve understanding, planning or communication. Depending on the indication, this may include intraoral scanning, 3D imaging, digital planning and jaw-movement analysis. Technology remains a means, not an end. Clinical decisions are always based on examination, diagnosis and the individual situation.
